10th Annual Potlicker Potluck

We had such a great time getting together to honor our dad/grandpa, who has now been gone for 10 years. We love and miss him and we are so grateful for the influence he has had on our lives.

Thanks to Kristi for having us all at your house! And thanks to Kaylie, who redid Grandpa's slideshow. It was a tear jerker! We played Jeopardy to remember some tidbits from Grandpa's life and then shared memories. It was wonderful.

Another addition to our evening was the presence of Casey and Bryan, who will be married July 19 and Kaitlin and Cooper, who will be married Aug. 17. It was great to meet them and hear their "stories". It was great to spend time with family! It was an evening Grandpa would have loved (and we hope he was there!)

We missed those family members who weren't able to come, but we know you were thinking of us!

We had a wonderful time at the Jordan river temple Saturday evening doing family sealings. Laurie had a huge stack of family names for us to do! It was wonderful!

We even had a little miracle. Mom realized that she lost her hearing aid but wasn't sure when or where. We retraced her steps and Jenni found a tissue near the dressing stall that she decided to go throw away. When she went over to the garbage can, she found the hearing aid sitting next to it! What are the chances of finding such a small device?! We felt like it was Dad sending a message to say he thinks of us and is helping us on the other side. Happy Birthday Dad! We love and miss you!
